Yes, you're right. The main ideas I took from la défense (the plaza and the monument). I had the idea for this picture while i was standing under the grande arche in paris, looking down to the wide open space. :)

I had to do a new version, because the picture needed to be printed in a huge format and the original picture did not have enuogh details for that. I also had to change the light setup, otherwise it would have taken forever to render it :)
